Question: Are professional hair products really better?
Answer:
Yes! If they weren't we would all be using them. Professional products hold the color or perm, and keep hair in better shape. Professional products also protect your hair from the suns' damaging UV rays, and generally keep your hair healthy.

Question: Why have my hair colored professionally instead of doing it myself?
Answer: Hairdressers are trained to know what color is going to look right, and have the skills to know how to apply the placement of color. Many clients need more than one formula; especially as the color process is repeated over time. Beautiful color happens in salons!

Question: How often should I wash my hair?
Answer: The less the better! Every other day is much better for color treated hair as it prevents fading. And, please do not wash your hair before your salon appointment.

Question: How soon after my appointment can I wash my hair?
Answer: You should wait 24 hours to wash your hair after color is applied to give it time to oxidize and hold the color better. You must wait 24 hours after a perm before washing or your perm will become frizzy.

Question:How do I know which products I should buy?
Answer: Only your stylist can tell you that - Please contact us for assistance.

Question: How often should I schedule an appointment?
Answer: Hair typically grows ¼ to ½ inch per month. Most people will need a haircut every 4-6 weeks, and color every 4-6 weeks depending on the amount the color fades, growth (roots) and care.

Question: Help, my hair is turning green! What can I do?
Answer: Swimming, well water and hard water can cause hair to turn green. For many blondes, green hair makes its appearance every summer because the greenish compounds that form in the pool are readily absorbed by porous hair strands.

Professional clarifying products and chelating shampoos and purifiers remove chlorine, metals and excess minerals from hair, thus eliminating the green color. It is also helpful to wet your hair thoroughly and apply conditioner before entering the pool.
